Thursday, November 7, 2024 Trout Stocking at Sugar Creek
CITU stocked rainbow trout at Sugar Creek on Thursday, November 7, 2024.We want to thank everyone who participated in the event. After the stocking we conducted a biological monitoring survey of Sugar Creek. The stocking was funded through private donations, the Fly Fishing Film Tour and member rebates from Trout Unlimited. The cost for stocking at Sugar Creek was $4500 and we contributed $2950 to the trout stocking at Eagle Creek
Remember to fill out a creel survey each time you fish at Sugar or Eagle Creek. The creel surveys are important and help us assess how many people are attracted to these stocking projects. The creel surveys can also show that the trout stocking is attracting new visitors to the Atterbury Fish and Wildlife area.
Catch and Release regulations are in effect from January 1 through April 14.
